Course Description:
This is a combination of Fringe Benefits-This course reviews all of the major fringe benefit plans that small businesses can use to benefit employees and owners such as child care, education, transportation, housing and more.

HSAa HRAs & More-This exciting course leads the practitioner through the maze of employee leasing, HRAs, HSAs, Medical Reimbursement Plans, Healthcare Flexible plans and the advantages, disadvantages, and uses of each. This is one of Bob Jennings’ favorite topics, and students will “feel the enthusiasm” in this course, one of our most popular short courses.

Long Term Care Insurance-This course starts by covering the need for long term care insurance. It then covers the aspects of what long term care insurance is, what it pays and does not pay, where to get it, where to use it and what to look for in policies. It concludes with a coverage of the latest changes in coverage and the tax treatment of premiums and payments.

Education Planning & Credits-The course begins with an overview of the options available to taxpayers for saving money for college. It then moves to an in-depth discussion of Section 529 plans, including prepaid tuition and college savings plans. Next, the course covers the remaining options including series EE bonds, Coverdell ESAs, traditional and Roth IRAs, borrowing from a 401(k), the Uniform Gift to Minors Act, and mutual funds. The course concludes with coverage of the tax credits and deductions available for those seeking higher education.

Estate & Gift Planning Review-This course reviews 2012 estate and gift tax changes and new amounts as established by Congress. It also reviews rudimentary estate and gift tax planning ideas such as gifting strategies, medical exclusions, education exclusions and gift splitting. An overview of basic gift and estate tax rules and planning concepts is provided in an example form in this short review class.
