Frequently Asked Questions1. What are Jennings Seminar Learning Objectives? Every Jennings Seminars course is designed to provide attendees with the latest legislation, law and rule changes in each topic area. The 1040 Update, 1120/1120S/1065/LLC Update and the Federal Tax Update are all update seminars. All other courses are intermediate/advanced level seminars. Unless indicated as self-study or webinar all seminars are group-live seminars with no advance preparation or prerequisites required. Active practitioners as well as corporate accountants, CFP’s and educators will all benefit from our thorough review of rule changes, whether legislative, regulatory or judicial. 2. What is the schedule for a seminar? All Jennings Sponsored Group-Live seminars begin promptly at 8:00 a.m., break for lunch from 12:15 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. and end promptly at 4:00 p.m. State sponsors establish their own schedule. 3. What do I receive when I attend a Jennings Seminar? • Full reference manual & binder with major section divider tabs • Combination pen/highlighter • Continental breakfast • Lunch • Free CD E-Book hyperlinked to authoritative citations • Tax seminar attendees receive free access to Federal/State tax forms service online • Tax seminar attendees receive free access to Federal tax Code, Regulations, Revenue Rulings,Revenue Procedures & More 4. What is your Cancellation, Transfer and Refund Policy? Registration fees will be refunded in full for up to 30 days in advance of the seminar. Registrations cancelled between 1-30 days prior to the seminar date are subject to a $50 cancellation fee. Each “group-live” seminar carries 4, 8 or 16 hours of CPE credit, based upon a 50 minute contact hour. All Jennings Advisory Group seminars have been designed to comply with the Statement on Standards for Formal Group Study Programs published by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy and to comply with CPE accreditation standards in the states in which they are held. 6. Will you be adding additional cities to your seminars this year? Our schedule is set for 2007. However, we may add additional seminars as the need arises. Continue to check our calendar online for updates. If we are not in a city near you, why not purchase a manual, DVD or attend a Webinar to receive CPE through self-study. 7. I have a question about a Society Sponsored seminar. Who do I contact? All administrative details of Society Sponsored seminars are done by the sponsoring society. If you have questions on location, time, how to register, cost of the seminar or hotel information, please contact the sponsoring society. They will be happy to assist you. 8.
